The open space and rural location of The Green make it a perfect place to enjoy a safe break. It is important that we are able to provide a safe environment for you to enjoy your stay. Likewise, we are committed to ensuring the safety of our team. The below provides an explanation of what we are doing to ensure your safety and that of the Owners.

The details below should be read alongside our General Terms & Conditions of Booking which explain the Specific Terms, including Cancellation, in relation to COVID-19.

If anything is unclear, please contact us so we can explain in further detail to avoid any misunderstandings. 

  1.Risk Assessment

  • a. In line with the guidelines provided by our trade association PASC UK we have conducted a detailed Risk Assessment to ensure the safety of our guests and staff. We will continually review our Risk Assessment to consider any changes in guidelines or legislation. Our Risk Assessment is available on request.

  2.Cleaning protocols


  • a. The owners and staff have completed training in Covid-19 Holiday Let Cleaning Protocols including the use of room-by-room checklists. The cleaning we undertake is now a 2-step process; the cleaning step is as normal but then we go through the whole house again disinfecting.

  • b. Cleaner wear appropriate PPE

  • c. Our cleaning standards and checklist are available on request.

  • d. We provide appropriate cleaning materials and food-safe Covid-grade spray disinfectant within the property for you to use during your stay. We ask you not to do not use bleach.


  3.Your arrival


  • a. The additional cleaning steps outlined above take extra time and we ask for your help in not arriving early.

  • b. You will have a no-contact check-in and check-out process.  All of the relevant access information will be sent to you in advance and you will be able to access your property without direct contact with us.

  • c. We do like to personally welcome all of our guests to ensure that you are comfortable in the property and settled in happily for your stay.  At The Green we have plenty of space and will be able to meet and speak with you from a safe distance. 


 4.Your departure

  • Departure information will be sent to you in advance which includes a few simple steps that will help us enormously.

  6.Your COVID commitment to us


  • a. It is imperative that you do not travel if you, or any of your party are showing symptoms of COVID-19 (as defined by Government), or have been in contact with someone who tested positive with 14 days of your check-in.

  • b. It is expected that guests staying at The Green will observe the government measures and advice in place at the time of their stay. 

  • c. If you or a member of your party develop symptoms of COVID-19 during your stay or within 14 days of your return home you must inform the Owners immediately.

  • d. If you or a member of your party test positive or develop symptoms during your stay you should stay indoors and self-isolate. Immediately book a test through the NHS using the holiday let holiday address.

  • e. If your test is positive you must inform us immediately.

  • f. If you are well enough to travel you should return home and self-isolate in accordance with current Government guidance.

  • g. If you are unwell and cannot return home, you will be expected to pay all costs for extending your stay. We recommend you take out travel insurance.

The “We’re Good To Go” industry standard


The “We’re Good To Go” Industry Standard is a self-assessment scheme that has been designed by VisitEngland in partnership with the national tourist organisations Tourism Northern Ireland, VisitScotland and Visit Wales to provide a ‘ring of confidence’ for all sectors of the tourism industry, as well as reassurance to visitors that businesses have clear processes in place and are following industry and Government COVID-19 guidance on cleanliness.
