Well after this morning's sheep shenanigans our lovely neighbour popped over with his digger and helped us deepen the cattle grid - cue the Robins! Such brave little souls!

Just heading home today and decided to take the slow road home. What a great decision, sometimes its good to just stop and admire the view.

A short spring stroll to #cotterforce on our way exploring Hawes - probably about 20 minutes walking time but we took more like an hour because we love lambs and waterfalls. Sometimes its just good to take in a scene slowly and enjoy the landscape 🍃

Sometimes you've just got to wait for the local traffic and remember this is why you moved here 🤣

Wow, how special is this - week have so many nest sites but rarely can we see right in! Mummy and Daddy blackbirds have been super attentive int he past few weeks and we were so pleased to see their success in hatching chicks today - we'll be keeping g a close eye on this little family! 😍

I was just walking to the end of the drive today to clear one of the drain by the track and found d these gorgeous lambs frolicking at the edge of the stream - then one of the fell ponies came for a nuzzle 💚 Made a muddy job so worth it! 😍

Have you ever heard a Curlew? Here in the Howgills we're so lucky to still enjoy their distinctive call and for the past week or so at The Green, weve been treated to evening song and flypasts of these marvellous birds! Curlew are endangered in the UK

When we say we're walking distance from award winning local pubs - we mean it! Our friends @kingsheadrsd outside themselves with this fantastic Easter dessert - maybe we need to extend the walk to work some this off! 🐣😋

A New Chapter at The Green Cumbria…

After four and a half wonderful years welcoming guests to The Green Cumbria today marks a new chapter as ownership of the business (and home next door) passes to Rebekah and Jeremy Wilkinson.

We want to express our thanks to everyone who has supported us during our time here - our guests, many of whom have continued to come back, and to our neighbours and the local community who’ve made Ravenstonedale a special place to live.

It’s been great to have seen so many people enjoy this beautiful corner of Cumbria.

As we hand over the reins we’ll be excited to see The Green continue to thrive under Rebekah and Jeremy’s care. We’ll be offering them our full support as they settle in and as they continue to provide the same warm welcome and guest experience that The Green Cumbria has become known for.
