Richard Duckworth, one of your hosts here at The Green, is a Qualified Mountain Leader. He has a huge passion for walking in the hills and mountains of Britain and has covered several thousand miles on foot in every UK National Park. He knows the upland areas of Northern England like the back of his hand and enjoys nothing more than taking guests out on guided hillwalking days and teaching them new outdoor skills.
Situated in Cumbria’s Eden Valley but part of the Yorkshire Dales National Park the countryside around us here at The Green is a paradise for walkers. Classic Dales scenery and the Lake District are both a short drive away but the Eden area itself offers great walking; especially the grassy slopes of the Howgill Fells which can all be accessed on foot from the front door of The Green.
Why not join Richard for a guided day in the hills? Equipment including waterproof clothing and maps can be provided.
